Just as the very best brushes and paints help produce finer paintings, appropriate dance wear is of prime importance to the dancer.
Girls Pre-school Classes: Pink leotards with pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Hair must be off the neck and secured in a bun.
Combination Ballet & Tap Classes: Tradional black, pink or light blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes. Hair must be off the neck and secured in a bun.
Boys Pre-school Classes, Ballet & Tap: Short sleeve white Tee-shirt, black tights or black sweat pants, black or white ballet shoes, white ankle length socks, black tap shoes.
Jazz & Hip Hop Classes: Apparel is at the discretion of the teacher. No sweat shirts or bulk clothing. Black jazz shoes for jazz classes. Hip hop shoes or tennis shoes for Hip Hop.
No additional clothing (shirts, skirts, loose garments, etc.) may be worn for ballet and tap classes. Some ballet wraparound skirts will be allowed as well as short, close fitting ballet sweaters.
Dancewear can be purchased at The Dance Collection located at 1500. S. 336th St. Federal Way. Some dancewear can also be purchased at Payless Shoes.
